Capt. LeeRoy Gonzales and I left the dock early to search for Trout and Reds of caliber with top-water lures.
The morning started with light winds out of the South East but soon enough we had completely slack wind. We know that our window of time was short before the Northern that was scheduled for late afternoon would be upon us. Winds were expected to be 30 plus and howling.
We kept moving in pursuit of fish of caliber. Our first fish was this 23 inch Speck and the chrome and black Super Spook Jr. proved to be deadly. The day seemed to fly by as we moved and covered water in search of a big finish for the television show we were making. Tony D was on board shooting video and we were ready for the Red Fish to take the show to the next level.
Our plan was to work the potholes in search of Reds. We found two solo’s in the open flats that were interested in the Mullet look-alike baits but the finale was just around the corner.
The trip in Arroyo City with LeeRoy was smoking Hot. The big finish was a barrier island shoreline that gave us one perfect drift that lasted 1 hour. In that time we smoked 6 big reds. Two provide us with a good fight but spit the hook. The other 4 were landed videoed and released. It was an anglers dream to have the action that we had in that short period of time.
Contact LeeRoy Gonzales at LGoutfitters.com or at 1-956-371-0220 and he can put you on fish of caliber too.
P.S. We even took an evening fishing outing and let Tony D catch Redfish. Nice Job Tony !!!!
Thanks for your time today and I’ll see you ------- On The Water !!!!!!!!
Watch for this episode of Inshore Fishing With Super Dave® on television very soon.
